Speak for Success is a leader in communication skills training. Our mission is to help you become the confident, assertive leader you were meant to be.

We do this by making communication skills training accessible and convenient, no matter where you live or what your position is on the corporate ladder.

What we believe

Based on our experience we have come to believe that...

  • Communication skills have a significant impact on your professional success

  • Most young professionals who are new to the workforce lack the confidence and communication skills needed to be immediately effective in their role

  • Ongoing practice is absolutely critical to confidence and skill development

  • Most people enjoy practicing so long as it’s convenient and in a fun, safe, and supportive environment

  • Feelings of anxiety and nervousness are one of the biggest challenges to overcome when starting out

  • Key principles of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) might be the best way for speakers to build confidence and learn how to manage their feelings of anxiety and nervousness

  • Working with experts will enable us to develop the most effective program and most enjoyable learning experience for our members

What makes us different

While other programs primarily focus on delivering keynote speeches and the technical aspects of public speaking, Speak for Success focuses on practicing the everyday communication skills that you need to succeed in the workplace. All while helping you to build your confidence and reduce your feelings of nervousness and anxiety so you can say “yes” to every speaking opportunity that comes your way.

We practice the skills that matter most. Many of us will never deliver a TEDx talk but nearly all of us will have to deliver a presentation at work, answer impromptu questions from our manager and formally introduce ourselves to new clients. That’s why we focus on building the day-to-day communication skills that matter most in the workplace.

We have small class sizes. While most other programs have anywhere between 20 - 35 people per class, we cap all of our classes at 10 people to ensure everyone has multiple opportunities to practice speaking as well as giving and receiving feedback.

We maximize your practice time. Unlike other programs that spend the majority of class time on lecture and theory, we've designed the Speak for Success© so that nearly 100% of class time is devoted to practice. Practice is what confidence is made of, so it's critical that you get plenty of opportunities to take centre-stage.

We provide a fun, safe and engaging environment for young professionals. Public speaking programs have a reputation of being stuffy, boring and intimidating. We’re out to change that by catering the experience towards young professionals. This means creating an environment that is fun, safe, and engaging.

We focus on strategies that reduce feelings of nervousness and anxiety. We've partnered with Registered Psychologist, Dr. Melanie Badali to develop curriculum that uses proven, science-based methodologies that will build your confidence and reduce feelings of nervousness and anxiety so you can say "yes" to any speaking opportunity that comes your way.
